LADIES YOU DID IT!!!!
The membership goals for December have been met. The State is currently over 90%  This enables our President to have her “Night On The Town” in Las Vegas, Nevada.  We are doing great and we need to continue this momentum to reach our 100% goals.

Our Quarterly meeting was held at the Norwich VFW post home on Connecticut Ave. in Norwich on Sunday, January 24.   They had a wonderful luncheon for us. The theme was “The Oscars” and there was several guest stars attending.  Included was our State President as Tina Turner.  Chairman Judy Barnes had a contest  for the poppy favors. The favors were terrific and are distributed to the hospitals after the meeting.   Winners were 189 New London, 1265 Pawcatuck and 594 Norwich.. The Chairmen all did an excellent job in promoting their programs. Winners for their presentation were Americanism, Hospital and Community Service. Attendance awards went to District 4 and District 6. Our next Quarterly meeting will be April 18, 2010.

Due to the resignation of Department Conductress Pat Hornok we had an election of officers at the council meeting.   The Conductress is now Ruth Hewston, the Guard is Carol Preston. The President appointed Lynn Watkins as Banner Bearer, due to the resignation of Sherry Porter.
