WELCOME HOME
Care Packages have gone to the 143D Combat Sustainment Support Battalion over the last year. On August 16, 2007, Phyllis Schaar and Brenda DiFederico, Co-chairpersons for Veterans and Veterans Family Support, welcomed home the unit.
Brenda and Phyllis with Veni Echevarria, 143D Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, who started Operation Husky in Iraq. School items were sent to Veni who distributed them to the children in Iraq. Veni saw the sign welcoming him home and looked puzzled until he saw the Oakville VFW 7330 Ladies Auxiliary which he had seen written on many care packages that he received.
