I am grateful and humbled by the continued support of the members of the VFW
Department of Connecticut. Thank you for your trust in electing me to serve as
your State Commander. I pledge to do all am able to live up to the faith you have
placed in me.
Congratulations to newly elected State Auxiliary President Carol Preston and her
entire slate of officers. I am looking forward to all we can accomplish for Veterans
and their families in the coming VFW year.
My Commander's special project is VFW National Military Services, with an
emphasis on the Military (Unit) Assistance Program, also known as MAP.
VFW MAP is the outstretched hand between the VFW and our military units
stationed here in Connecticut. With many troops returning home from war, I
know that I can count on all 117 of our Connecticut VFW Posts and our tens
of thousands of individual members state-wide, to join me in redoubling our
outreach and fundraising efforts to support these Veterans and their families.
I look forward to working with all of you to grow our VFW and to maintain the
prestige of our great organization, which has been earned by the millions of
members who have worked tirelessly for Veterans since 1899.
